Placed side by side, parallel temporal layers unfold across three two-channel videos, moving between portraits, personal archives, and shifting relations to home, shaped by distance and the ongoing threats of erasure.
Between these layers, a fragmented conversation about distance and belonging emerges, in which displacement reshapes identity and new forms of solidarity take shape within a European context where migration and belonging are increasingly politicized. Here, For Now is at once an intimate portrayal of lives lived in-between and “forced” archival work, taking a stand on what is at risk from fading.
