Leila is a Lebanese filmmaker and photographer currently based between Beirut and Prague.

She holds 
a BA in Audiovisual Arts from IESAV at the Saint-Joseph University in Beirut, and she’s currently pursuing an MFA in Film Directing at FAMU.

Through her work, she tries to explore the themes of society, youth, womanhood, and identity.
Her second-year short documentary The Adam Basma Project was short-listed for the 48th annual Student Academy Awards (the Student Oscars) after touring various international documentary film festivals.

Her photography work was exhibited in various galleries in Beirut and Prague. Her photo series An Afternoon in the South won the Best Photography Prize at the 2022 annual FAMUFEST.
Leila is currently in post-production with her next short film Sea Saltselected for the Cannes Film Festival's Focus Script Program, and she's developing her first feature documentary Dance with Me winner of the Robert Bosch Stiftung development award.
